Exhaust Heat shields

Use something other than a disposable baking pan for exhaust heat shields. They vibrate & make the FJ sound cheap & that's something we all know is just not the case. How about offering a replacement heat shield that's a bit thicker? Makes sense to me.

No matter where you go,... There you are

Re: Exhaust Heat shields

My rear one over the muffler is falling off. 3 out of 4 nuts ripped/vibrated through the shield. Toyota dealer said they just remove them. I said i want it replaced under the extended warranty cos i dont need more heat in the cabin whenever i travel and have perishables or anything sitting on the floor....

Re: Exhaust Heat shields

Mine came off completely and fell down into the wheel. The sound made me think the wheel was coming off. It's so flimsy, is it worth putting back on?
