Thumbs down Dont try screwing us anymore =]

$1800 - replace the controls(ya right)
$789 - Rear Axel Leak(just a breather by the way)
$7.95 - some sensor (only thing they will cover on 100000 warranty)

I decided to just buy the parts needed from toyota except the control arms and going to get the toytec light racing control arms. So I should save myself at least a grand. Thanks Toyota for being such a$$holes at the dealer eventhough my family has five toyotas from this particular dealer.

Re: Dont try screwing us anymore =]

There have been several OEM parts I wanted to buy, but they chased me away with there prices. Rock sliders, off road lights on the roof rack, all nice OEM stuff in my opinion, but have found items as good for hundreds less. The only way I would have gotten some of this stuff was to have it worked into the financing at the time of purchase .

I always thought that OEM stuff was the best to get, but it's clear that aftermarket sliders and skids definitley are wayyyyy better quality than oem. As far as stealerships go....the parts costs are outrageous. They suck!

It depends on the part really. Yes, generally after market suspention parts that are designed to give better perfomance are going to be designed better, and in some cases, over engineered. But many after market companies that just make direct replacment parts (like water pumps, pulleys, heads, intake manifold etc..) are infierior to OEM parts.

Try talking them down on their prices at the parts counter. I have had very good success with this. I was able to get my TRD CAI for $340, and bumper covers at cost (just a couple of examples). Their markups are absolutely ridiculous. They definitaly have some room to play with. What I found out was to keep going back to the same person every time.
