$7 Map Lights in an 07 FJ

I decided I wanted a little more light without too much work. I went to the junkyard and got a dome light from a 94-00 Mustang for $5, then to Radio Shack for some connectors for the stock ribbon wire for $2. The end result works well, is very bright (especially with the dome and map lights on), and didn't really require taking anything apart except for the dome light itself. Mustangs don't have any colors except charcoal, but luckily it matches the rest of the FJ interior perfectly. I'm very pleased with the extra light output and I may change the bulbs out later to LED's.

Very nice! I'll be looking for a light in the next few days. For $9.00 what a deal.

Okay, I've learned they do make gray dome lights as well, but you'll have to look in some Ford F-series trucks and maybe the Explorers. While I was in the junkyard, I grabbed a horn from a 97 Solara that was there for $4 so now my horn sounds much better (the plug was a direct fit with the extra FJ plug under the hood).
