FJ Cruiser Freedom Windows - Unhappy.

https://i.imgur.com/9s5AWbd.mp4

My girl and I installed Freedom Windows for our Dane today;

The bracket went on great, the steel trim ring (while I wish it was pre-bent) went on fine. There were some undocumented changes (2 additional rivets that help hold the trim ring better,) and the 3-M weatherstripping was some high quality stuff.

However, I'm unhappy with the plexiglass itself, It seems as though the arc of the glass is completely off, I'm not sure if the forming process needs to be tweaked or if I just got a dud, but my bottom right corner is completely "warped" or raised from the body.

Does anyone have any input or advise on how to remedy this? at this point - I will not be installing the passenger side -
I would love for someone to be able to look at this and tell my I've done something wrong with the install and need to change something...

edit: made it sound less like my panties are in a twist and more like I intended; asking for advice.

Re: FJ Cruiser Freedom Windows - Unhappy.

That's pretty bad - totally unacceptable for a product in this price range, IF the problem is actually due to malformed window curvature.

Are you sure you removed ALL adhesive residue form the outer sealing surface where the frame seats?

If so, I'd contact the manufacturer (www.fjfreewomwindows.com) directly, explain the problem (& send photos), and get their advice. They're in Hollister, CA.

Have you talked to the maker? That is step 1 I would think before telling everybody you have a problem with their product.

I understand your frustration, but I have to agree, contact the manufacturer. Let us know how it goes.

Good Luck!

Yes, I have sent them an email - and I in no way told anyone not to buy this product - or that I have a problem with them, I'm here because this is where I go to get advice.

Everything I read/watched said remove adhesive until it's flat, not remove ALL adhesive - If this is truly the root of the problem I have no problem taking fault. However, I don't see how that could cause the issues I'm seeing.

Yeah, my girl wouldn't let me crop 'em - I think the pointy ears look great. but, the goofy floppy ears COMPLETELY match her personality.
