Talking Traded the Bimmer for an FJ...how did this happen?

Greetings all. Thanks for the great forum that helped me decide the right options and price for my new 08 Ti purchased a couple of days ago. I was ready to trade in my 06 325i for an X3 or X5 when I decided to go look at a more off road capable 4runner. Well, as I was checking out the 4runner I saw the FJ in the showroom with those sweet off road tires and killer tow hitch and roof rack. I though it looked cool but never considered it as it seemed like it would not be a functional daily driver. One test drive and it was like, damn; this thing is pretty good on the road. Then I saw how passionate the owners are and read the reviews of the excellent off road prowess and was SOLD. So I saved like $20k over the price of a new BWM and am actually MUCH happier. Cash in the pocket AND a much better off road vehicle I was ready to give up all the gadgets and plushness of the Bimmer. The first test will be this weekend when I load up the 08 Husky 450 on the hitch mount and head for the Tennessee hills. If anyone has any advise on what I can do to keep it looking new, let me know. On the dirt bikes we spray WD40 underneath so the mud hoses off easily. Is there a similar product for 4x4's? As many have said in the forums, the cheap part is the purchase and the mods are where it hurts. My immediate plans are for new speakers to fit into existing locations (keep stock look), some recovery equipment and maybe protective parts like rock rails etc. So anyway, here I am, ready to jump into this new world with both feet. Thanks for reading and if anyone is selling off their extra stuff, let me know as I need it all.

Maybe someone else can chime in here. But is there a break in period at all before towing or as long as you keep the rpms and speed low you should be ok?

As stated on this and almost all of the other motor forums that I read, there are many opinions on break in. The WFO method or the slow and easy method. Choose the one that best simulates how you plan to use the machine. Of course those early fluid changes are super important.
