Re: Noob to the FJ in CO/Front Range

welcome. I would suggest reading the forums a bit more before going the 6" lift route and even the supercharger route. 6" lift and 35" creates a whole lot of problems or a lot of extraneous expense such as regearing, long travel suspension etc. I also think the FJ has plenty of power to pull Colorado grades at the speed limit.

One thing I notice about 4Runners and FJs is they have a lot more clearance than Jeeps to begin with (my son has 98 Jeep Wrangler). I think you will be pleasantly surprised what a 3" lift and 33" tires will do for you.

3" and 34s.

What size tires will fit on my FJ?

The owner's manual for your FJ is right here. <--- This is a link. Many answers to your questions are contained within.

Re: Noob to the FJ in CO/Front Range

Thanks for the welcome and advice everyone! I am certainly happy to heed the advice and will definitely try the lift out N/A before S/C! Really I'm just making this jump to be able to have the power and hit the trails in CO that require 35's and lockers. Can't wait!!!
