So... who is going to the summit? We will be heading up Tuesday and staying in the hot springs inn on the way into town.

I am currently signed up for the following runs:

Thursday Trail Run: California Pass and Corkscrew Gulch at 08:10 AM
Friday Trail Run: Poughkeepsie Gulch at 09:20 AM
Saturday Trail Run: Imogene Pass to Ophir Pass at 07:50 AM

No night runs due to the toddler.

Can't wait to see everyone there!
We are leaving Lewiston Monday Night about 5pm and staying in Boise then heading on down to Ouray the next day. This is our trail selection.

Thursday Trail Run: Black Bear Pass to Ophir Pass at 08:30 AM
Friday Trail Run: California Pass and Corkscrew Gulch at 08:40 AM
Saturday Trail Run: Imogene Pass to Ophir Pass at 08:20 AM.

Look forward to see you and your family again!

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and
Demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life,
Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and
Its purpose in the service of your people.

Awesome! See you there. Have you done Black Bear Pass before? We had a great time last year, even though there was some sphincter clenching since it was raining and everything was slippery. The views are indescribable.

I was born and raised in CO, and was lucky to have a dad that liked to fish in high mountain lakes, and a mother who was a tour guide to Korean AF personnel that came to the old AF base in Denver. Ouray is one of my favorite parts of CO. I am coming home basically.

Re: Project Snow Leopard

Well, unfortunately I decided against finishing up my re-gear and front locker before the summit. I would have needed to do the rear end gears this week, which would not have given me time to do any testing or break in before heading off to Colorado. I will finish it up once we return.

I do hope to get my compressor and inverter enclosure wrapped up and installed this week. It has been in production for some time now. I will also be getting the revision 2 auxiliary fuel tanks from the fabricator. The total volume has been bumped up to 18.5G (useable), and a few minor issues were corrected.

I performed a little maintenance and changed the manual transmission fluid to Amsoil Manual Transmission and Transaxle Lubricant, which is a GL-4 oil. I had previously had severe gear 75W90 in there and noticed that it was a bit hard to downshift while cold. This new fluid is MUCH smoother, which is interesting. Not sure if it is due to it being new, or that the MTL lube performs better than the severe gear in this application. Either way, it is smooth as silk now.

sweptwingnut likes this.

See this post for the differential and MT fluid. I had your same experience.

That is quite a coincidence! Going to be a ton of fun. Kristen and I will be sure not to eat any questionable sushi appetizers prior to this one.

Interesting, well I suppose this is another unbiased and independent data point supporting the lubricant specifically for manual transmissions.
