Crack rock-crawler Build

Okay I figured I would start my own build thread for Alex's Crack rock Toyeti now that I purchased it, as I'm going to be doing my own things to it and just didn't want to flood his thread and confuse people. So lets start off with what Alex did... Well that's everything right now. So here it is...

The way I got it.

I got in the new light bar today. You can use just the amber, or just the white, so I hooked up the white with the cowl lights that come on with the high beams. Then the Amber go on their own switch. I still have to rewire stuff, but I'm going to wait until I get the next bar comes in.

Re: Crack rock-crawler Build

I'm looking for something just like that! What model is it? Also what is the next bar going to be..?
Some Chinese knock off of Baja. If you have money I would recommend the real things, but if your a cheap bastard like me these work pretty good. They are 10w leds and have a nice throw. PM Me for more info. Well I guess I'll let the cat out of the bag on the other bar, as I have it, I'm just waiting for the mount from Resz Fab. I got a 50" curved for the roof.

Here are both of them together.

Re: Crack rock-crawler Build

I'll shoot you a PM, that bar looks sweet tho, 50" curved? From eBay? I have one of those coming.
No, I am/was a dealer so I just got them from manufacture, but I would recommend people go thru Mike at RESZ Fab. for them, his prices are great and an awesome warranty too. These aren't the cheap crappy bars you see for $200 bucks either. They are great quality with 3d lenses and PC lens. Hit him up for more info.

Had a great day wheeling today! I'm impressed more every day I go out with this truck. (Sounds like I'm dating a new chick and she is showing Me some new moves LOL). We did some high speed sections today and damn it was so nice being able to haul ass over the bumps at 8psi and not have to worry about a tire coming off while drifting it thru the turns and over the bumps. I even had to let My friend drive so he could feel how smooth it is! lol

Well the bad news is, I live in the middle of nowhere! We don't have a target! Maybe when I take it on a road trip I can do it. lol

What LED bar is that on the front? If you dont want to post, could you PM me?

Thanks!
Its just one I sell. PM Me if you would like more info or want one. Great bar, they are single 10w leds about 10k lumen total and a nice throw.

So what roof rack are you going to use for the 50"?

I'm surprised you haven't gotten the TTUE white grill

Where are the new stickers?

I am loving the new lights!! I never really liked the look of the huge Lightforce  (sorry Alex)

Loving the pics, Colin! I really wish I could take similar pics with mine. I have had my camera for awhile now and still don't know all it can do. ;) I got a Nikon D40X. Need to get some filters though.

#107 ·
Just get out and shoot! I don't use filters usually. If I do its a polarized filter and that's about it. Sometimes for my waterfall shots Ill use a very dark ND filter.

Like this one I took in yankee boy basin during the FJ summit.

Those are awesome. I can get pretty decent day shots but when the lighting starts to get darker, I have trouble getting the right exposure. Of course I rarely have my tripod with me. I guess I need to start carrying that around more. ;)

#112 ·
Is that a 50" bar I see???:wink

#113 ·
It was for about 14 hours. LOL I already sold it.

There are actually HUGE changes coming up next week! Speaking of which, if anybody wants the 109 watt scorpion leds I have to take them off, actually ALL the LEDS are for sale! PM for more info or for a hook up price.

One of the first of these months major changes happened this weekend. I took off the Allpro sliders and I put on a set of Demello's Xwings. We wanted a bit more of a step and I wanted something a little different looking then all the other same-ole sliders out there.

I think those sliders were a great choice, the plated portions and angles seem like a good match for the rear bumper, while the tube portions match with the tube elements on the front bumper. I think it ties everything together nicely.

So today was My wife's first time driving the CRC. She loved it! She is a great driver and loved wheeling this one even more then the last (duh right? LOL) So I got to sit back and relax and just take pix today, until the end where it almost rolled. LOL Well not really, but it could have, it slipped of its line and got a little sketchy for a bit, but a few bumps later she made it just fine.

Time for the update on the lights. I have become an ambassador for Baja Designs as I have been wanting a set for a LONG time! I very happy I did, these things ROCK! The throw is awesome and the light pattern is great. I bought a 20" OnX6 in Driving combo, a pair of the XL-pro in combo, a pair of the Squadron pro in wide cornering ( These will shock you! highly recommend) and I also got a pair in amber driving, plus one amber for the rear dust light. The pix don't even do these guys justice!
