Why The Mule, you ask? She's Army Green, and the mascot for the U.S. Army Academy at West Point is a mule. (It's tough for a Navy vet like me to glorify the army in any form!)

I bought her new off the lot in July of 2012.

Here's the first real trip The Mule went on. She took us to the Catskills in New York.

Here she is in the Dolly Sods, West Virginia:

Since I lived in Maryland and the 4 wheeling in Maryland is virtually nil, The Mule stayed stock for a long time. I did add on a Curt hitch.

Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia:

Camping in Western Maryland:

Playing in some mud in the Virginia Blue Ridge mountains:

Then I was fortunate enough to have my job relocate me to Colorado!

Re: Meet the Mule

My first real off-road trip was Weston Pass. The Mule was totally stock, but I knew there at 11,000' that me and the Mule would do a lot of off-roading together.

Re: Meet the Mule

Winter 2014 hit, and my 2 1/2 year old original tires were pretty bald. During one snowstorm my wife and I were driving to work and I couldn't stop at an intersection and slid right through it. That afternoon I got a new set of BF/G A/T KO2's. I went 275/70/17.

Re: Meet the Mule

March, 2015 we went to Moab for Spring Break.

I came home with my first real trail damage:

I also came home bit hard by the off-roading bug. I am just starting the build of the Mule. Check back here often to follow us on our journey.

The quarter panels were getting scratched up a lot from branches so I thought the Plasti Dip would be an easy way to protect the paint from any more scratches. This weekend I am going to Plasti Dip them all the way up to the white and see how that looks.

Yeah, that's the next big purchase. Those OEM steps just can't take a hit with a rock!
