Re: Iconic's Partial To Blue Build

How to design an FJ part - It's not rocket science.

@debFJVT wanted a charcoal canister skid plate, sounds like a good idea to me. If they turn out well enough I'll bring a couple to MB4S.

1) Measure charcoal canister. Make a nifty little sketch with all the dims.

2) Drive over to the workplace, fire up the triple monitor setup, start sketching 3D in Solidworks.

3) Make drawings and send them to the shop for quote.

4) Kick back sippin' daiquiris on the beach while people do your work for you.

5) Pickup finished parts in about a month.

We can install yours in my driveway. Should only take 5 minutes.

Re: Iconic's Partial To Blue Build

I did some exploring the other day, a couple miles from my house, on some roads that I probably shouldn't have been on! But I didn't see any signs telling me not to..... I would love to have a place to rock crawl near me. Closest I can find is Tuttle, 1.5 hours away. I suppose I'm lucky enough to have that place. I'll just keep exploring until then.

Is that out near your Grampaís shop? Looks familiar....Hey maybe he could use an excavator to build you a rocky hill

Just took a peek. $500+ new, or about half that used or aftermarket branded.

Out that direction but closer to town. I drove an old tractor w/ loader and skid steer the other day. But problem is Kansas doesn't have many boulders.
