Neither have I but it's just a ring gear and pinion right? Not sure how the front or rear would be different from an AT. I assume people skip the 3.9 because it's just a factory item and they're looking for dramatic difference. What came with the 4.1?

Also @Iconic_ hit me up for pics of tire clearance of 37x12.5 on 17x8.5 +0. Figured I'd share them here. I'll be selling my All Pro gussetted knuckles for one with more clearance.

Pics from bookface because I can't upload on the forum

Gday JP,
They look really awesome...and Flipping huge!!!!:

There is a little voice in the back of my head.....whispering ...won't work...3.9 won't fit...
But I am not sure why, or where it is coming from....but some where in the dark recesses of my old brain..... Something is going ding....
A bit of research might be worth it.
Cheers
Baz

Not sure that's considered a credible source.

thanks for link @bazross so as I understand the clam shell is different between the two. So can I swap the clamshell from a MT? I guess I'll have to research.. Probably not too difficult to locate one

Yes, I think that's the issue...and why it's not really an option....
Plus changing to 4.10... Especially with 37's....won't give you any BIG improvement...
Probably why 4.88 is preferred n recommended...but the application is different too....
Dune racing v rock crawling...
Needs some investigation...perhaps...
I know you'll figure it out...
Cheers

Honestly don't need much improvement. With 35s, if the type of driving called for it, definitely would recommend it but for most everyday and trail driving, it's fine. Even on 37s, it's fine so far. The only thing I do notice is the tendency to hunt for the gear if I'm on partial throttle going up a grade. But that's been like that since.. 35s... 33.5s... Stock lol. I understand if I dropped $2500 on a regear, I'd want a drastic improvement as well or why bother? Probably the main reason just differential recommends the 4.56 so they don't get customer returns . It's only been a few days so I'll need more seat time.

PS. If I were a serious dune guy, I would have went 6.3....... L V8 and then decide what gearing afterwards

Yep, an emissions friendly LS3 erod is available which can be certified for anytime driving. Otherwise there's a number of LS options... deep, deep down that hole.

4th around town mostly and pulling on to the interstate roads. I usually don't shift to 4th when up to speed but on steep grades, it's now a consideration. But just give it more skinny pedal right?
