Out of all of those option you should be able to find something that suits you. If you have any more specific questions just let me know. BTW I probably should have just told you to enable your PM's so there isn't such a small length restriction for my messages. Sorry
If the Icons are out of your budget, I would look hard at the OME's above, then I would go over to Toytec's website and take a look around at some of the other options there. It's really hard to beat a bilstein 5100 kit on a budget. BTW all of these aftermarket suspensions will provide you with better ride than stock. Stay away from spacer lifts, these will ride worse than stock.
It depends on what budget you have on the lift. If you don't mind spending the money I would consider going with Icon (or any other brand like king, fox, radflo) adjustable coilovers in the front and maybe a 2.0" diameter in the rear. This would give you a much better ride on and offroad than stock, but it is also pretty expensive for what most people want. These are rebuildable and are easy to upgrade from in case you ever wanted more. Autoanything website has the Icon's at 20% off right now with coupon code LOVE20 from the front page. ICON Lift Kits - FREE SHIPPING from AutoAnything (stage one and two are good starting points.) Again, this might be overkill for what you are looking for.
Most of the rear coil options listed have a higher spring rate than stock. This is good if you plan on towing. If you go too high with the spring rate though you will get a stiff ride without extra weight in the back. Another thing I will recommend is to get an aftermarket auxiliary transmission cooler. This is one of the best mods you can do if you have the automatic transmission, especially if you plan on some towing. An aux cooler will reduce the temp of the transmission and it will therefore last longer.

Hi Iconic, I just purchased my first FJ, I am hoping for some advice and you seem to know your stuff... My rig is stock, but I want to throw a lift on it. I plan on towing my boat with my FJ and want it to stay stable and would also like to avoid trans/differential damage as best as possible. I spend a lot of time in the winters in the mountains so I really want the lift for that as well as a little attitude... What would you suggest? 3"? Also, what brand would you suggest... My last rig I used calmini and it worked great... Not even sure they make something for FJ... Have any thoughts or ideas? Or any suggestions on where I could do my own research?
