Since the seller wanted me to let them know what was wrong with it, I text him the info and he replied with an offer to pay for half. Turns out the seller is a pretty good guy.
Ask him what his FJCruiserforums screen name is and tell him we all say HI!

Glad to hear it all is good all is right all are satisfied.

Now that that is fixed, time for big tires, lots of LED lights, body mount chop, and a RTT!
Go Get Muddy... (or scale a mountain)
ENJOY!

Re: 2007 TRD Christmas tree after owning for 1 day...

I don't really want to take it back. A decent FJ is hard to find here in the southeast. Especially when you're as picky as I am! My criteria was: Never owned farther north than Tennessee, less than 125K miles, 4wd, never wrecked, No yellow or blue (someone else's criteria not mine), $18K max. After looking for over 6 months I found a 2 owner southern 2007 TRD with leather seats, 110K miles, that has never been wrecked that fit the budget. Going to have to hold on to this one and cross my fingers!

Re: 2007 TRD Christmas tree after owning for 1 day...

Took back to the dealer and was told it was one of the upstream cats...
I did my homework and asked the technician how he knew it was the cat. He said he checked the voltage from the sensors and checked the pressure differential.... Same as I read should be done in another thread. Now for the bomb... A factory replacement for the one side will be about $1,500 after labor and taxes! Crap. I can get a set of Magnaflow cats installed for less. These look like a shorty header compared to the stock single pipe looking manifold / cat setup. In my experience this would be a plus - less restriction = more power. But I read somewhere where adding headers = torque loss. I don't understand. Should I get these or look for more of an OEM style aftermarket?

Re: 2007 TRD Christmas tree after owning for 1 day...

WELL WELL WELL!!! After receiving the wrong MagnaFlow primary (upstream) cats 2 times, they finally got it right (Cali compliant). I had them installed yesterday. They look and sound good. But 25 miles later..... the Christmas tree is once again lit! I'm starting to get a little frustrated. I can't wait to get the codes read once again this afternoon and see what they say now!

Well we've replaced the 2nd of the 4 sensors and have about 100 miles on it without lighting up the tree. FINGERS CROSSED!
