Front break rotor question

Please take a look at image and see if this is something normal for the rotors to wear at center. is this normal for FJ's, should the rotor surface be smooth from edge to edge?? the break pad has a small surface area, thanks

Re: Front break rotor question

Center is the brake hat (forget what the technical term is for it on a one piece rotor like that) and doesn't look significantly abnormal to me.

Do you feel significant grooving on the rotor, how do the pads look? Any issue with braking?

this is true what FJNewb says.. But also to me the edge of the rotor looks grooved or more shiny than the rest. Check the brake pads. And next time you do a brake job get the rotors "turned".
