Re: Changing out my FJ speakers today!!

I just did that too! Great improvement! I have 6.5" Alpines in the door, some 3.5" Infinity's in the dash that fit right in after taking out the bracket and cutting off the part under the cover that sat on top of the old ones, unplugged the worthless things in the headliner and this in the back:

Upgrading makes a huge difference!

"Sandbox" 2011 Quicksand
Diff lock & A-Trac, Nitto Trail Grapplers 295/70/17, ProComp 7089 Wheels, OPOR rock sliders (from MT), EP Shifters, Grab Handles, and e-brake cover (Stealth Black), Ricochet HD skids (Orange), Oznium orange side marker lights and dome lights, 60" Hi-Lift Exteme, clamps by EP, DO Evil Eye Al bumper, Viper Max winch, Blackvue VEDR, MT/Radflo Stage 4 suspension, ExpOne washer re-locate, Springtail rear door combo rack, BA Muffler and Hi-tuck, Cobra 75 CB + 4' Firefly. Scan Gauge II, Heated Seats, BMC, All Pro lower link skids, Scuba mod, Viair 450P, PRG Snorkel, Boztec rear diff skid

Replaced with 2016 Tundra Limited to pull toys
Now in a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon

Changing out my FJ speakers today!!

I was thinking of going with that same exact box and sub... I agree on the ceiling speakers.. Not sure what I'm going to do about that... I put 4in speakers in the dash. They didn't fit in the mount but I got them in there. Name: ImageUploadedByAG Free1363461487.204674.jpg

Re: Changing out my FJ speakers today!!

Those tiny little dash speakers I bought were just as much as the bigger ones for the door. Smaller isn't cheaper! Otherwise I'd suggest you try them, surprised how well they fit.

Re: Changing out my FJ speakers today!!

I splurged a little because I took advantage of the 18 months free financing, but happy with the result for sure!

Re: Changing out my FJ speakers today!!

Upgrading my sound system is my next project. Factory speakers are just not cutting it.
