+1 on what he said. I dont think I would want one from the rust belt. This seems like a blessing in disguise to me.

He's also very fortunate that the dealer is upstanding enough to buy it back. That's a huge boon.

Re: Need help

My advice is sell it back and keep looking. Sounds like you bonded already but finding another comparable to what you have without rust or other issues shouldn't be hard. If it were an 11 Trail Teams Manual then maybe you work through some issues. I'm in neighboring CDA and IL. cars might as well be from another planet. A salty one.

Re: Need help

Well now I know don't buy from Illinois LOL
If anyone comes across a 2008-9 FJ with 80,000 mile or under, first owner and no tow bar on it I'm interested big time.

Thanks again all

Re: Need help

Persevere Super, the right one will come along. I also believe you are better off without that one. Mileage is not the only indicator when looking at used. For instance, here in Texas, it is easy to rack up nice, easy highway miles that don't overly wear on a vehicle. I'd go for one that looked like it was well taken care of and not crawled hard off road first, then look at the mileage.
