My expedition one bumper came yesterday by fed ex.... like xmas time all over again...Well the install went good with a little persuasion being that I was working alone. The new lights that were sent with the bumper for the reverse lights were a perfect fit, while I had to do a little bending of the mounting hardware to get that fit ...Heres a few picts
Just out of curiosity, has anyone answered the reflector question on the bumper? Since many states require a reflector on the rear bumper. I'm wondering if it's something I can just tape/glue on (not that I'd want to ruin the looks of that sweet arse!).
Their website doesn't have the rear bumper offered. What's the damage on that sweet lookin' backend? It definitely looks like it could have come from the factory!
Crap, this is totally awesome looking. My wife is going to kill me....Just checked out their website, the bumper is not on it yet. Are you on a pre-release list? How much was it?
It really looks great! Clearly Warn and Expedition One are the only two I am looking at. Still lots of questions: when are they really going to be available, amount of trim cutting, does it fit with the MAF tank, cost, etc?
heres one of the reverse lights hooked up ..wow you can really see in the back of the truck in the side mirrors..very nice choice of lights James / Sarah
It mounts to the underside of the rear frame with four bolts that go into the existing threaded holes. The holes that mount the tow hook on the left side and there are two holes on the right side. There are four more bolts on the back side of the frame right and left that involves putting a premade well built box in that sandwiches the frame with two tabs. I plan on tack welding this to the frame so I can actually use the shackle tabs.
