Pedal Commander for throttle response

A friend sent me a link to Pedal Commander throttle controller which claims to improve drive by wire throttle response.
Has anyone tried this or something similar? The FJ throttle response is awful and is especially noticeable on the 6MT when attempting to blip the throttle on a downshift.
Maybe there's another hack for this?

Cheers - already saw those. Maybe I should modify my question - Has anyone tried this type of thing on a '10+ 6MT?
I like the fact that it's selectable - offroad I'm quite happy with the throttle response - just downshifts for engine braking on the road is where I get annoyed.

What is the USB port used for?

I have an 08 6mt and I tried one at the FJ Summit a couple of years back. The vendor was there and was allowing test drives. I drove it back to camp that night without problems but the next morning as I was heading out on a run the FJ threw some codes and went into limp home mode. Not good as I was the trail leader. Had to turn my group over to the group behind me.

The code was something like throttle instruction out of range. I uninstalled and returned it. The vendor could not have been nicer and they may have updated their software since then so I don’t want to bash them just sharing my experience.

I just installed mine last week, 2010 auto, and love it. Been running it on Sport 5, haven't really tried other setting yet, and it makes a world of difference, feels like a different vehicle. I do have to watch myself, as I tend to go a bit faster, since the throttle is more sensitive.

I'm using the "Sprint Booster". Same technology different brand name. Huge difference! When I first installed it I of-course set it to Race Mode but discovered that setting to be to aggressive and dialed it down to Sport Mode. When in stop and go traffic I can switch if off to save fuel. For me, it has been a good bang for the buck modification.

Hi guys, just got a second hand FJ in Chile, it’s a 2019. (as you know Toyota is still selling the FJ model in some countries). it is completely stock. I’ve made only 10km on it. I’d like to make some mods on my FJ starting by adding a gas controller since the gas is pretty expensive around here. I wanted to get an FJ because of its liability and to Be able go to the mountain in winter without having much trouble to get there during snow season. But my concern is the fuel consumption in the city and highways.. I pretend to use the Fj, 50% in the city, 30% On highways and 20% on snow. would you recommend the Pedal commander over the sprint Booster if my target is saving fuel?.. shall it damage some how the engine? Or it will pop up some codes. I don’t won’t to void the brand warranty in case of any problems caused by the PC or sprint Booster. Any feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you very much in advance. Cheers, Roberto
