I fell in a fire back in '91 and received 2nd & 3rd degree burns over 25% of my body. I have 42 titanium plates and just as many screws in my face from a bar fight. 2 herniated discs in my back. Over a dozen broken ribs as well as cracked arms and legs from one crash or another. Brother, it just doesn't seem right for a ****in' calcium deposit the size of a BB to hurt that bad, but it does.
I'm glad I haven't had the pleasure of passing one lately.
I feel for ya'.
This post sums up kidney stones quite nice. Everytime I have had one I only think two things. Give me death or give me medication. Whichever is quicker I shall accept.

People always think peeing the stone out after it makes it's way through the ureter and bladder is the worst part, but it's actually the best part, and doesn't hurt, just is a super strange feeling/sensation. Not good, but not bad either. I think knowing the stone is coming out is so exciting that even if it does hurt, it doesn't hurt

This is a very accurate description. Worst pain in my life. Stay in one position, trying not to move for fear that the stone will move around again. Feeling it move through your system in tiny little increments scraping your insides...I don't want to think about it anymore.
