Re: What does "FJ" stand for?

IT STANDS FOR FAKE JEEP!

HAHAHAH sorry guys but I had to say it. I'm a Jeep owner and we make fun of FJ's all the time on our forum. People post that "Fake Jeep" stuff all the time about FJ's. I mean Jeep was literally made to help win a war.... and Toyotas were on the losing side of that war guys... Sad to see so many of you support the losing side of that conflict. Sure hope you support America is other ways...

So really this is my first post here. Wife and I are buying a second Wrangler but I just happened to look inside a FJ and thought it had a great interior. Tones of space and had some good features. I've been all over your form the last few days trying to figure out if its possible to build a JF as capable as a Jeep and how the cost compares.

Basic research seems to suggest that Fake Jeeps don't have as many after market options as real Jeeps do. Specifically the number of manufactures that support it are considerably less, but they do really seem to have every part needed (just less options for the part) and the cost per part appears higher per part as well (but ill assume that's do to it being a more limited vehicles with less after market support.)

But really I cant find anything I can do in a Wrangler I cant do in a FJ other than take the top and doors off. I cant really speak to a FJs capabilities, but I know you have less ground clearance, worse approach angles and smaller wheels so I'll assume your not as capable stock but I've never had one on a trail so I don't really know. Once modded they seem pretty legit.

But all in all I'm here cause she wants to consider a FJ. It makes my stomach turn but I'm here doing my research. Fake Jeeps definitely have some positive aspects compared to real Jeeps; I'll assume a better ride, less wind noise, better interior, better MPG, and designed with comfort in mind. So basically great if its a daily driver who occasionally goes off road.... which is the definition of my wife. so it might be a good option for her. But I'm shocked at how much some have put into these and its still a Fake Jeep. Ever thought about putting all that money and work into a real Jeep and you'd be good to go. Support America and leave that Jap made Fake Jeep where it belongs!

GO AMERICA!

What is your goal in stirring the pot? Seems foolish.

I've had real Jeeps. That is why I now have an FJ.

Man, it's going to suck for this guy when his wife decides the FJ is the more comfortable one and they end up buying it...

Re: What does "FJ" stand for?

I'll just leave this here in case you decide to do some real research: (apparently even jeep owners question their own reliability?)

Jeep tops 'Consumer Reports' list of worst car values
Reliability? - JeepForum.com
What makes Jeeps unreliable? - JeepForum.com
2015 Jeep Wrangler - The worst value in all of the automotive world | Best Ride Blog
rubicon4wheeler: Consumer Reports Ranks the Wrangler as the Worst Value Midsize SUV

Being called a fake jeep is actually a compliment, we don't want any affiliation. You can have the Jeep thing.
