We wandered around the eastern Sierra Nevada range two weeks ago. Stayed two nights Mammoth Lakes and explored the local high lakes before heading north, a stop in Bodie, over Monitor Pass, Lake Tahoe, Pyramid Lake, then finally an annual event in Gerlach NV (home of Burning Man). This is a sampling of the pics.

PS. The snake was dead when we came upon it.
Beautiful (all except snakey)...sounds like a great trip! Where was your next to last pic taken?

Beautiful BC, Southwest Thompson-Okanagan. Hit up Whipsaw Trail for turkey Jam 2016. The foliage up here was starting to get covered in some wet white stuff. The last two pics are of @life.in.low.range

I posted a couple in the what did you do with your FJ today thread, but I'll post em here too.

Kebler Pass just outside Crested Butte, CO

These are spectacular pix and remind my why I love Colorado so much. The solid stands of yellow aspen with white shiney trunks are eye popping! Sometimes I think the New England patchwork of maple, birch, beech colors is too busy, almost disguising the beautiful terrain.

So far I'm liking Colorado colors best...not counting sand lol

That would be the west side of Pyramid Lake, north of Sparks NV on our way up to Gerlach.

Why, yes!

Here I am "striking gold" at my little private "FJR National Park"....

Sorry it's not the FJ, but it's one of my other Toys in the fleet.

Your pics of VT are superb, Deb!

I have a whole bunch more CO gold shots. I'll try to post up when I get back to CO. I am currently in Madison, WI and there is some nice color here too. Especially on the drive back from Green Bay the other day...

Thanks! You can't take a bad pic up here right now. Were yours from Wisconsin? If not, I'd love to see Wisconsin foliage again - did college there.

Oh I know what you mean about the Northeast this time of year. I'm from upstate NY originally.

The pics of my Tundra are from my land up in Park County, CO.... my slice of paradise (I have a whole bunch more I can post up; I missed the peak but I caught it just past peak when there was plenty o' Gold left... I also get these cool little cranberries all over the place that the bears munch on...)

Where in WI did you go to college? Madison?

I really like visiting here. Especially in the Fall. Really reminds me of NY state.

Have an awesome weekend!
