Re: Old Enough To Know Better
Great Thread!!! I don't know/understand a lot of things...
I am 43 and learning how to work on my own vehicle to a degree and doing some mods on my own. Why do I not know these things because I didn't care to learn when I helped my Father my WHOLE ENTIRE CHILDHOOD (the Master Machinist who can build a beefed up Harley or a bad ass hot rod in a junkyard) DUMB kicking myself so hard now that I want to do it on my own. He is still here and teaching as I ask but he gives waaaaaayyyyy to much detailed info and things get lost in translation. He spent 45 min explaining every working mechanism in my rear Diff. Think what I needed to stick was a 10 min explanation in which I got from my FJ family here in WA. But I love him greatly and try to weed out the fluff which is good to know but doesn't help me retain the working mechanism of the components I am asking about or for me to process its process. I would love to learn electrical as well as I have an issue but all good things come in time I suppose. I would love it to be like the Matrix and I could just DL all the content!!!
I don't understand why the single male wheeler/overlander's don't want to date a female wheeler/overlander - In my head you think this would be a good thing, an expensive relationship tho lol (maybe we're just one of the guys IDK LOL) The general population can't understand our love of our rigs, our journeys our obsession or our way of life.
I don't understand why every child gets a trophy even if in last place. Do they not understand that life is not about entitlements? It all starts with the equality of rewarding our children to believe they are the best to start with and don't have to learn and work their way to earning such trophies. When you're an adult you are not entitled to ****, you need to work hard and earn your way.
