Re: SoCal off road buddys

It is time once again for our bi-annual Laughlin trip. March 23rd 2019 is the day. We meet at the Denny's in Yucca Valley at 6am for breakfast and leave at 7 sharp. From Denny's, we travel north on the 247 for about 25 miles to Bessimer Mine Rd where we air down and begin the fun. Its all dirt the rest of the way to Laughlin. This is an all day trip so pack a lunch, drinks and anything else you think you may need.

We will stay the night in Laughlin and drive home in the morning. This is typically a pretty high speed trip, however everyone is welcome to run it at their own pace. We dont leave anyone behind. 4 wheel drive is not really needed on this trip. It is mostly power line roads with a few challenging hills and some soft sand.

The sooner you get your hotel room, the cheaper it will be. I have already booked at the Pioneer for $62. Looking forward to another fun run through the desert.

Myself and another might decide to camp that Friday night somewhere on the trail and meet with the rest of the group in the morning, but that is still TBD.

Here is the Google Map for our meeting point:

One of these days, I'll make it out. Didn't anticipate my rig being in the shop this exact week so I hope to join on another trip.
