Well the way I'm looking at it, the BX23S will be for light duty jobs and clearing out the forest, while I can use the big dog for the major jobs and fixing the drainage etc. I'm still not ruling out a skid steer instead of the small tractor though. Man they're pricey though.
They are pricey but man the options they have with implements is mind blowing.

I can see you now with a pair of chrome aviators on, grinning behind a teeth clinched cigar while mulching through the underbrush with that carbide toothed beastie.

The problem with modern 2wd tractors especially in the case of Kubota is that they’re far lighter than similar sized tractors from the past reducing pulling power. Our 70 hp 4wd wouldn’t pull a damn thing without water in the rear tires and only in 2wd. Now companies like Branson and Mahindra still make heavy chassis tractors that are great 2wd options that’ll pull like crazy because of the mass involved. The way I look at it if you’re gonna drop the coin just spend the money and get the 4wd, you’ll never regret it.
What in the heck???

Is that a thing down there??

Hell yes without water my kubota would be rough and there’s no way it would pull a 14’ disk. You guys can run water up there, you just have to add copious amounts of antifreeze.

Huh.

Never heard of that. I've never owned a large tractor mind you....

And water in tires just doesn't sound right to me.....

Water in the rear tires will let you pull the gates of hell down!

Hell man I run water in the rear lawnmower tires for ballast against the front end loader, pulls like a champ with just a bit of extra weight down low and the tires grip ten times better with that mass inside them.

Saw a dumbass put water in his truck tires one time, he almost wrecked before he could get it back to the tire shop.

Yea it's a thing , better than wheel weights. We use wind shield washer fluid so it doesn't freeze.

Re: FJ Down On The Farm?

Yep, they use water in tires here too. Huge difference. Even here they put some type of anti-freeze in them with the water.

Re: FJ Down On The Farm?

We use a mix of calcium chloride and water in our tires up here - it is a heavier than water on its own, freezing point is -45C.

Our tires are ~45% filled.
