Tapping for Aux lights with DRL's?

IPF 968's
I want them to turn on with my brights. will the DRL's give me any issues with this if i tap my line to the brights fuse box?

if so would simply unplugging the drls solve this?

You using the IPF switch, an OEM switch, or just direct from relay to headlight wiring?

Re: Tapping for Aux lights with DRL's?

I'll assume you're wiring directly. If I recall, the IPF relay has four wires: Yellow, White, Black and Black/White

The yellow should go to the battery
The white should go to the IPF lights
Assuming you're tapping in to the driver's side headlight, the Black wire should go to the light blue wire going into the headlight harness
Assuming the same, the Black/White wire should go to the Red/Light Blue going into the headlight harness.

Basically the two black wires will switch the relay to allow power to flow from the yellow wire to the white wire and you'll have IPF lighting when the high beams come on.

If I've got the colors wrong, let me know and I'll revise.
