Which wire is hot?

Hey Guys,

I'm installing a Homelink garage door opener module in Swiss Army Knife's map light housing. I purchased one of the closed face housings so if everything works as planned all you will see are the three buttons just like OEM on many cars. The module I'm using came out of a 2000 Mercedes E320 because of their style of buttons.

The module has two wires, brown and white w/ blue stripe. Can anyone tell me which is positive and which is ground. Or is there any whay I can test for it. Local dealer was no help has they do not have wiring diagrams for just the module.

Any help is appreciated. thanks
