HELP! Dash kit, installing W505?

The latest chapter in the saga... (but nearing the end!) I'm sitting here with the Best Kits/Scosche dash kit, the W505 and total confusion about what to do. Do I need that sleeve that came with the Alpine? Or do I just screw the dash kit's side pieces into the W505 (without its mountain sleeve) and slide that in?

I didn't anticipate this part being confusing, but the dash kit and W505's instructions are both pretty unclear to me, and I can't find a detailed install anywhere on this forum or anywhere else online!

thanks - hoping to wrap this thing up tonight!!

Got the same radio, installed it myself this weekend. Pull teh sleeve off and screw the scosche mounts right into the radio with the pan head screws supplied.

How do you guys like the 505? Did you get the Blackbird too? How's the nav?

Best radio I've owned, very easy to use. I go the unlock box tr7 highly recommended.

The Ipod hookup works, will also run from a thumb drive comes with USB input cables.

I already had a Garmin so I did not opt for the nav unit.

The Garmin doesn't hook up to the screen in any way, right?
