Hey all,I replaced my alternator last night and the plug was stuck on.i pulled to hard and pulled the wires out of the terminals. Can anyone tell me which wire goes to which terminal, there 2 on top and 1 on the bottom.pic attached, thank you..
That's why you:
1. Unlatch the mechanical lock on the connector BEFORE trying to disconnect the plug from the receptacle;
2. Pull only on the connector housing, NEVER on the wires.
Tearing the wires out of the connector housing will likely have damaged the locking feature that retain the crimped contacts in the housing, so you will have to carefully straighten and re-form the contacts so they will correctly lock into the housing.
Note that there appears to be a discrepancy between the connector designation used on the Toyota schematics and on the connector list. The schematic shows a CA1, while the connector list shows a C2. Use caution; note the differences in connector housing color, keying features, and pinout.
Getting the wires in the wrong position in the connector housing and applying power may be regrettable.
