Thoughts on this lift?

Hi,

Im new to these forums and even truck mods..
I want to lift my fj 2.5-3 inches so i was looking at spacer lift kits.
I started doing some research and people said not to buy a spacer kit over 1 inch? Then again seems like alot of other people do it. So i found this -

Rough Country Toyota 07-08 4wd FJ Cruiser 3" Suspension

Any insight is appreciated.. thanks

Lots of people run the rough country spacer lift. Wont be as good as a complete suspension lift, but for the cost, you'll be fine.

Biggest problem with spacer lifts is that you run the risk of bottoming out the shock before you hit the bump stop. this can result in major damage to the bottom of the shock where it mounts the LCA. there are images around of the results. if you wheel at all i highly recommend you wait and get something better. you can do 5100's fairly inexpensively.
