Re: Ironman Foamcell Pro Suspension

I'm mostly satisfied with the ride. After a while I have had them heat up and become real harsh. Let 'em cool a bit and they're fine. I have the spring isolators on mine cracking and blowing out though. I'm upgrading them to Toytec aluminum top hats and spring isolators instead of the oem stuff that comes from Ironman. No front sway-bar and I love how it articulates on the trail.

Interesting, they look cracked. Why do you have a spacer on there?

Sent from AutoGuide.com Free App
Because by the time I bought mine Ironman was no longer offering the extended travel ones. They gave me the spacer that goes on the shock shaft but there are barely enough threads to get the retaining nut back on the top hat and it blows the bushing out. So the cure was an external spacer not the internal design they provided. This way I still get my 3" lift AND retain the minimum 2" down travel.

@Vegas_nick, I PMed you with a question, so whenever you're back from getting abducted by aliens or whatever you do in the desert, please take a look.

Also, I took the front sway bar off last week and the FCPs keep the FJ very composed. I have a steel bumper and the C springs. These shocks are everything I hoped when I ordered them.
Thanks man!! Glad to hear you are satisfied with them!

Putting the foam cells to good use!
I may have the front just a little high, but no CV binding.
