Re: New Bilstein 6112 Series

Question:
Does the 6112 + 5160 combo require any sway bar relocation? Should I have a sway bar relocation kit for the front sway bar ready during the install? 6112 will be set on the top notch.

It does not. We have installed 70+kits without them.

Re: New Bilstein 6112 Series

I cried about this yesterday on the "What did yo do to your FJ Forum" but I was so close to finally getting my 6112 in and a stupid bushing messed it all up. Took out the revtek levelling kit and found that they removed my original bushing from the upper plate and spring so we had to put the install on hold until the new bushings arrive. BUT I WILL TRIUMPH and get my 6112 in next week. Got my 5100 put in the back.

Re: New Bilstein 6112 Series

What kind of lift are you guys getting? Do they seem to match the Bilstein estimated lift chart....

The lift on the 6112 for the FJ is very accurate with the advertised lift ranges chart from Bilstein.

I know you were asking us about lift height for your 4 Runner Skinum, but the chart is not accurate on the 4 Runner Chassis due to different engines and weights on the trucks.

The lower settings for the 4 runner will see .25" higher than stated on the chart and the higher settings will show about .50" more than stated on the chart.

Hope this helps you out.

There is limited stock left so let me know if you would like to get your set ordered.

No, how did you gather an opinion on what generation 4runner TL was referring to based off of Tl's statement ?

I was speaking to TL through the 4runnerforum where most ppl seem to report higher amounts of lift. 5th generation subforum to be specific. I wanted to see what the FJC crowd was experiencing considering the suspension system utilized in both applications is identical.

Cut our new guy a little slack, he drives a Mazda for God sakes.

FJ is seeing very close to advertised lift heights. 5th gen 4runner is seeing slightly higher than advertised lift, with about .25" on the lower settings and up to .5" on the higher ones.
