A mid rise will work fine for most homes. You have to think about vertical clearance. They are good for tires and brakes, thats what they're marketed for but you can also get under it to do whatever. Lifts are pretty cheap anyway so this particular one isn't like a screaming deal. They do make them with wheels too so they're somewhat portable.
If anyone uses a post type lift, you need to have a minimum of 4" of concrete for the anchors. All of them are easy to set up.
