My Off Road Trailer Project

This trailer started its life out as a Harley hauler. I bought it off of Craigslist for $600 and then the modding began.
Relocated the axle (Baja'ed) from above the springs to below and welded new spring mounts.
Relocated the jack stand so I could fully open my tailgate with the trailer attached.
Welded on a spare tire carrier.
Swapped out the incandescent lighting with LED's.
New 225/75r15 BF Goodrich AT tires.
Welded in expanded metal to box in the cargo area.
Made a 12" tailgate instead of the 5' ramp.
Made two Scepter gas/water can carriers for the front.
Welded a 50 cal ammo can up front to store wheel chocks, rope, gloves, and a few pieces of flat wood.
Resprayed the trailer with gloss black paint.

Here are a few photo's of the trailer and the FJ. Between the axle flip and the new tires they both sit at about the same height.

I have a few more things I want to add/chance but those projects will have to wait till the fall.

You can outrun a Crown Vic, but you can't outrun a MOTOROLA.
