Re: Did I screw up the easy diff lock on demand hack?

Ok, that should not happen. My FJ is an '07. I'm not sure about the 2010s and up, hopefully Andrew will chime is because I know he has a newer FJ, with the hack and he has no issues.

I did the ATRAC+DIFF LOCK hack, as well as the DIFF-LOCK-ON-DEMAND hack, but didn't cut the speed wire.

Have you tried to disconnected your battery to reset the lights? I'm wondering if you guys cut the wrong wire? Or connected the wrong end to the ground?

Disconnecting the terminal resets but it comes back on when i start up after about 5 seconds. I reconnected the wires back to factory and disconnect the terminal and were back to stock no lights everything works. I grounded the wire comming from the little blue box. White wire blue stripe.
The hack worked. But i lose abs.
Didnt touch speedwire

Re: Did I screw up the easy diff lock on demand hack?

I can't remember if my ABS turns off with the hack engaged. I will go out and activate the hacks and take pictures of my dash, and post them here sometime today. I know it's doable on your rig, I'm just not sure if the same wires are used in the 2010 FJ. I'm glad that nothing shorted out and that your dash is back to normal!

I have an 07 too. When I switch on the hack all lights come on. When I switch off the hack all lights are off. Look on page 2 of this thread my second pic is what I see when I switch my hack on. According to other members that have the hack this is what you want to see. Toggle the switch again all lights should be off..

That's what I see, except with my diff lock hack the light will never go solid.. always blinks but I can feel and hear it engage. Makes no sense but works.

Re: Did I screw up the easy diff lock on demand hack?

Not sure, if the VSC hack is conflicting. You're basically turning off all the doo-dads from the ABS plug and all the lights will go off. I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure when I turn on the Diff Hack, the VSC will turn off and the lights come on (slidey fun in the dirt). Otherwise having VSC on while trying to slide in the dirt wouldn't be any fun. I'll check tonight for you guys, but just FYI, I only did the diff hack which kept it simple and didn't mess with any other wiring.

This post made me curious so I went out and turned my diff lock on, no lights other than the locker-on light lit up, I spun my wheels and sure enough I could hear the traction control working.

So I turned the nannies off with the inline switch for my no-cut ATRAC/DIFF LOCK HACK and as expected the traction control stopped trying to work. I wonder if this is the result of both hacks being done? So I need to have both mods active for the rear diff lock and have traction control deactivated.

I'll test again when I get time.
