Limited Slip for 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Personally, I'd just use A-Trac and keep the factory E-Locker for those "unneeded" scenarios. I mean it's already paid for.

just out of curiosity why do you want to swap to an LSD?
because i like to play and drift in sand dunes in 2hi, i don't go to rocks at all
and also better traction on road

There is an easy to do hack to be able to use these in 2wd/high range. @amaclach will chime in the links are in his signature.

Yep. Just do it.
See the Diff Lock Anytime link in my sig below. It's pretty easy.
It also turns TRC/VSC/ABS off while the diff is locked.

If you punch in the vehicle perameters, this is what comes up. Seems like I remember that only the ring gear is larger on the carrier and it will work. Give Auburn Gear a call and find out.. All they can say is No and try to fix their catalog error.

Re: 8.2" lsd

But again, I did the gray wire hack, so I have rear locker anytime, on command. Works great in sand, snow, loose gravel, etc.

Don't switch to the 8.0 - it's not as strong, and the axle tubes are reinforced on your GCC spec 8.2.
The US Spec axle tubes on the 8.2 are not reinforced.

Just follow the Diff Lock on demand link in my signature and do donuts & drift to your heart's content in 2H & 4H.
I did a monster donut & drift combo yesterday because I saw a nice patch of sand that needed to be shredded
