You can't beat all throughout southern Utah, then maybe up to Teton National Park, and Yellowstone.

I think we will be leaning towards southern utah for his trip. I definatly want to make a northern states trip. (Oregon, washington, idaho) the land down under might have to wait a lil while longer! Unless they will let me check my FJ into baggage! Alaska sounds epic! And I'll look into the death valley trip too!

Sadly it will be a single rig adventure which I know is not ideal, even borderline stupid, but it's kinda non-optional on this one :/ just means we'll have to be that much more prepared! Including extra gas!

Thanks man! It's at silver mountain in what appears to be an old Indian cave where I took the pic from. Straight up desolation out there. I was the only truck for 50 plus miles.

It's not stupid. I do it all the time, just me and the dog. Just be prepared and don't get in TOOO balls deep where you can't get out battery jumper, tons of water, maybe a spot messenger, maps, GPS, you're good to go! I might be down in May....

Re: Planning an expedition!

Yep I go alone too. You have to do what you have to do. Just use common sense and be prepared. Let someone know where you will be too, and that they know the area or can explain to someone where or how to get there. Leave a message here describing the trip and there will probably be someone that will know the area in case of trouble and most people here do off road and explore so they could get there with a description should a rescue be needed.

Go ahead, skin it! Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens...

I'll ride in on a sunny day, Sing you a song, steal your heart away Like a cowboy Hang my hat like I'm here for awhile Kick off my boots and drive you wild Like a cowboy Well baby you know I can't stay long You wake up, I'll be gone Until then I'll hold on Like a cowboy.

Thanks for the reassurance guys!!! I have aGarmin montana affixed to the dash so I can leave exact locations to family. And good idea about reporting on here too!

Now its just time to get everything sourced for a safe trip. Guess now i can justify a new swingout bumper and stealth roof rack

Oh it wll be rotopax for sure! I've been looking at the ex-rear swingout and am trying to figure out if i can mount 2x 4 gallon rotopax cans on each side of the tire.
Got the molle bags and plenty of storage in the cargo area!! I think the rest might have to wait.
