Goodbye old friend... FJ Parts here...

Got caught up in a 6 car pileup on I-80W in northern NJ a few weeks ago. My beloved 2008 'FatJack' (85K miles) had been my trusted partner for a long time. Actually surprised the airbags didn't deploy, but I was lucky I guess.

I put air horns on him, Borla dual exhaust, TRD Cold Air, trailer hitch, LED interior lights, and a number of other tweaks. Oh well. Insurance totaled him out ($14K!!) and I've decided to move on to a 4 Runner (probably)...

Realized I had additional parts in my basement that I have no use for now... the original exhaust (maybe 15K miles before I swapped it out), plastic engine cover, the original airbox, rooftop luggage rack blades, and the rear bumper (non-hitch) cover. All boxed up and ready to ship out.

Was going to put them on eBay, but I wanted to give my FJ brothers (and SISTERS!) a shot if interested. I figure $150.00 plus shipping is a fair price. Let me know ... msg here or [email protected]... thanks!

Yep... I can ship those crossover racks. Shoot me an address to my email, I'll box them up, weigh it, and let you know the costs would be. $20 sound about right?

Seriously... I thought I would drive him until the wheels fell off. What a shame.

Here is mine after getting rear ended and flipping an F-250 Raptor...

I had it fixed, and that was 150K miles ago...

Good for you, LT... if my current situation was a bit different I would have taken that project on. As it is, I hope some FJ lover gets him from salvage and completes a restoration. I was fanatical about oil/filter changes and other maintenance requirements. Someone will get a damn clean FJ.

Re: Goodbye old friend... FJ Parts here...

just sorry to see you have to cut loose - it's far and away one of the toughest and well built vehicles in recent memory for me. My FJ60 was good, but the FJC came with a lot of the things I had to add to the FJ60.

BTW - buy anything you want, but I heartily recommend you avoid the new Jeeps - SWMBO has one and I should have just gone in the front yard and burned $30k. At least the neighbors would have been entertained....

Sorry Joch, once the insurance company totaled it, I was unable to pull any parts. I was lucky to get the air horns & upgraded stereo out before the body shop locked it up.
