Alignment check and spacer ???

Hey, been working on Da Brick, lifting and such and got around to getting new tires, 285/75/17. I am getting some rubbing on the UCA's (JBA high caster) at full lock and will need a spacer to fix this. Are you FJers running spacers on the front only or front and back for equal width? Plan to get Spidertrax 1.25" spacers, Any reason to get a wider spacer? should I get 2 or 4?

The wheel alignment specs show I'm just out of spec on caster for the front right wheel. Tire shop guy said I'm good to go and wont see odd tread ware due to this. He also said I would need aftermarket cam bolts to get the caster correct. Does this sound correct to you guys?

No. How is one side in spec and the other not?

I'll call the tire shop in the morning and get clarification.

Re: Alignment check and spacer ???

Alright, the FJ is back at the tire shop, after some whining about frozen cam bolts they are working on fixing the alignment.

Told them they should have been up front about this as we could work together to solve problems.

Hoping it's done right this time.

Re: Alignment check and spacer ???

2nd times a charm, Said they struggled with the cam bolts but got them to move.
Feeling much better now that all is within spec considering the tires are new.
