Wheel spacers with 265s?

I was thinking about giving my FJ a wider "look" and It's not really time for tires yet so I was thinking of just adding spacers to what I already have on (Stock wheels and 265's).

Has anyone done this already? what would it look like? any pros and cons?

I would love to see some pictures if you have this set up and would love to hear your comments/recommendations.

Re: Wheel spacers with 265s?

I wanted to do this as well... I was going to run my 265's BFG AT's during the winter . I figured the wheel spacers would help with stability and looks. SPIDERTRAX Wheel Spacers from Wheeler's Off-Road, Inc

Never saved up... and decided I'm just going to put my Bighorns to the test.

Re: Wheel spacers with 265s?

Go for it! Doesn't make probs and enhances stability. 265's fill the fenders good with 1" spacers per wheel. I used to have this setup with 265/75-16 on the gray TRD rim. I'll see if I have pictures from that time...

Go for it. I installed ther SpiderTrax spacers over 8,000 miles ago. No issues what so-ever. I am running a stock setup with 265.

I had some 1.25" on my truck until I went to bigger tires. Looked and handled great.

Re: Wheel spacers with 265s?

Many of my friends have Spridertrax 1.25" (Lug centric) installed with no problems at all. However, I once went through a thread about spacers, the nuts should be re-tightened every once in a while for safety reasons.
