Speedo faster or slower?

I went from stock TRD tires to 305/70r16s whch are a couple inches taller. I assume my speedo is going to read a little slow? Is that correct? And I so by how much?

Re: Speedo faster or slower?

with stock tires mine was reading faster than actually traveling...with 295 Nitto tires on it now it is nearly DEAD ON according to my GPS...so yours will likely be 1-2mph less than actual if had to guess.

Re: Speedo faster or slower?

My speedometer read slow with stock tires. With my 305/65/R17's the speedometer reads exactly correct. The odometer now reads exactly 3% low.
