      I installed a Warn VR10,000-S (synthetic) in Oct '16. Only used it 4 times, 3 for me and 1 to help someone else. Never had an issue. Knowing what I do now I'd probably have gone with the Badlands.
      
      I watch a lot of recovery videos on YouTube, many of the folks use the Harbor Freight Badlands 12K

      I think when people get out behind the keyboard and start to get dirty most can get by with something like the Badlands. I know of some Rescue YouTube guy who removed his Warn and installed a Badlands because of the poor reliability of the Warn he was using.
