I believe you. And, if Toyota is not interested in selling wheels due to supply chain problems so be it. I just cant stand being gaslighted like they are doing to you. Below are the sales brochures for 2010-2014 (beadlock wheel first appeared on the 2010 TT models so i didnt bother with any 07-09 brochures). The bronze beadlock NEVER appeared on any TT models either (2010 - black beadlock; 2013 - black beadlock, 2014 - gray beadlock). The bronze beadlock was NEVER included in any sales brochure as part of the TT, TRD or even as optional Toyota accessory. The TRD package (only avail from 2010-2012 on 4WD models) includes only the 16" six spoke TRD wheels in silver finish (e.g. PT904-35070).

Example: Toyota 16" Wheel PT904-35070 | BAM Wholesale Parts

So the cover story from Toyota dealers is not even a good lie. Only in 2012 was the black beadlock wheel shown as an Optional Toyota Accessory..and apparently if your FJ was ordered from the factory with this black beadlock as an optional accessory in 2012, you would be able to order a bronze beadlock wheel or if the beadlocks were part of the TT package (2010, 2013, 2014) There were zero black beadlocks or bronze beadlocks offered in their sales brochures as part of a TRD package.

Near as I can tell a bronze beadlock wheel was NEVER sold with the ability to add them as part of the original build associated with a particular VIN numbers (black and gray beadlocks...yes as part of 2012 optional accessory or 2010, 2013 and 2014 TT builds). My guess, is that bronze is getting caught up with their criteria for the black/gray beadlocks. And, I get it if they are having supply chain problems, they want to reserve them for people that get them damaged in accidents, etc.

FYI here are some 16" wheels offered by Konig and SCS in Bronze if you dont want to wait for the TRD wheels or wait for someone to sell some used ones:

Well this gives me some hope! Maybe I’ll get them in the end after all!

If I can’t, I’ve been trying to convince myself it’s better to go with a 17” C rated tire anyway.
