  1. Tundra rear axle in FJ?

Did you get to keep your wheel speed sensors with the 35 spline upgrade?
  2. Tundra rear axle in FJ?

    General Discussion
Losing the wheel speed sensors is the biggest reason I haven’t done a front SAS yet. Keeping the sensors is almost mandatory for me. I don’t need crazy flex. I’m after strength and reliability. I use the truck more for camping now. I used to wheel it harder than I do now, but I’m getting too old...
  3. Tundra rear axle in FJ?

Diamond ‘could’ make a 10.5” axle, but would be quite a bit more $$$ than the already made 9.5”. The 9” only has a 4.86 ratio. My front is 4.88. Not a big difference, I know. But my truck is a 6 speed manual, and all wheel drive. That difference will add up on the highway. Stock width...

The problem with the full floater is you lose the wheel speed sensors. You lose ABS, VSC, A-TRAC, and will forevermore have the check engine light on the dash. Granted, they aren’t really needed, but the constant check engine light is a deal breaker for me. Especially with vehicle inspections...

Update: I’ve been driving the truck with Nitro 4:88’s since this last post, and has been great. Unfortunately, I broke them this last weekend. Its time to actually do this axle swap. Doing some quick research, I’m not seeing very many new options. Still the Diamond, Rockjock, and Ford 9”...
  6. 37" Tires on FJ Cruiser

    Wheels and Tires
Talk about digging up my old post! I’m happy to report I haven’t broken any more diffs since I installed the Nitro 4.88’s. Sadly, my plans to SAS have been on hold for a while because of new projects. But I have made a few additions since the start of this post. And some pix of the new...
  7. True Base Model FJ: The Rarest of The Rare?!

    Newbie Discussions
Ya, it was quite a few years after I originally got mine that I added the mirrors and cruise control. My ATRAC switch still consisted of a $0.99 cent switch from the local store up until last summer when I splurged on a bunch of switches from CH4x4.
  8. True Base Model FJ: The Rarest of The Rare?!

I ordered my 2007 Base model brand new. I even got a tracking number showing it floating accross the ocean from Japan. It is a true base model 6 speed manual with none of the following: No tint No keyless entry No mirror lights No power mirrors No roof rack No Atrac No rear wiper No cruise No...
  9. IT'S BACK!! All-Pro Offroad's original FJ roofrack REDESIGNED!

    Interior / Exterior Visual Tech
I still have my Allpro roof rack. There are no 'attachments' for the rack, but its super easy to attach things you need. My Tepui awning comes with L brackets that just screw into the cross bars. I don't have a close-up, but its super easy to mount things.

Hmmmm... Maybe I should start making copies of mine. Lol. :D

I'd be interested in the A-Trac switch from the center consol, if you could mail it. Should fit into an engelope... I'm in Victoria BC.

Oh... Yes, you should have plenty of room for that style of mount. I would suggest you bolt the light mount on first, just for ease of drilling the holes. Parking garage? What's that? LOL!

By "A pillar" mount, do you mean the cubes at the bottom of each side of the windsheild? If so, I would think you would have plenty of clearance. I'm just not a big fan of those. The hood just gets in the way. You would have terrible glare from the hood, and a big shadow in front of the truck...

LOL!! I went up Squamish FSR to find it washed out at 21k. Continued to Whistler, Pemberton, Lilloett Lake, Harrison Lake, and home.

Mine came in a couple weeks ago. Slapped it on, and went exploring. Super pleased with it. Way more robust than what I was expecting.

  19. A-Trac & aftermarket switches

    4x4 / Off-Road Tech
I added an aftermarket switch to activate my A-Trac years ago. I've just taken my dash apart because I'm installing new switches, and I can't remember which two wires for the A-Trac get connected to turn it on. Just to be clear... I do not have the factory switch. I just jumped the two wires...
