  2. TJM new winches

    4x4 / Off-Road Tech
I assume you tried calling the El Cajon CA branch. I've had follow through issues but they eventually replaced my air compressor free of charge. 5yr Warranty! Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  3. Front Recovery Points

    4x4 / Off-Road Tech
Just FYI. The Apex won't work if you have an aftermarket bumper with extra side bracing. It may work if you have have a lift and swaybar spacer but I still had an issue lining up the holes. So no go for me. I have the U S Off Road bumper without recovery points so if I keep the bumper I will be...

Does the A-Trac work. Early '07? Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  5. FJ's horn/alarm keeps going off!

    General Discussion
Mine did it while driving! Disconnected the battery for a bit and reconnected. Guess it rest itself. Sometimes things get out of sequence. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk

  7. Moab before the Summit - 2019 Edition

    2019 FJCruiser Summit
You can do it Ramon. I did two years ago on 285's. It's like a mini wall. Conditions will always change because of the amount of vehicles that run it every year. It's hell with a manual trans. When I did it, the secondary rout was even worse. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk

  10. Bilstein 5100 question

    4x4 / Off-Road Tech
I believe the mounting tabs are thicker on the 2010 up. Therefore the shock bushings are shorter. Not worth the hassle of grinding. Just get new. Same for the tie rod and ends. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  11. Steering Rack Upgrade.

    Suspension / Steering Tech
Curious why your doing this only because the tie rods and ends are bigger on the FJ 2010 and up. Can't be interchanged. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  12. Front eLocker by Harrop: Installation and use

    4x4 / Off-Road Tech
Any more to report Deb? Or are you too busy writing up your build thread. [emoji6] Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
  13. Bumper browsing

    4x4 / Off-Road Tech
I do like the TJM front bumper than ALL the rest. Its practical and i especially like the coverage it gives to the front end. But weight was and still is a consideration, not to mention access to my winch. Current running the U.S. Off Road bumper and winch. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk

Just finished replacing the passenger side front bearing (did the driver last weekend along with axle swap and diff bearing/sleeve). Also replace the bent right sway bar link. @7hrs on the left, 4hrs on the right. Included diff fluid, cleaning etc. The spindle seal is a PITA! It's the only...

Does anyone have some tips as to another way to check for play rather that just moving things around, pushing and pulling? What did yours feel like when they went bad or got some wear. Or another way to inspect the bushings, other than visual for worn rubber and play. Rotorhed1 If there...
  16. Proper Length for Rear UCA's with 2" Lift

    Suspension / Steering Tech
I agree with what you stated above. When I talked with MT the measurements he gave where the same. I'm @2" front,1.5 rear. My driveline flanges are the same angle. The rear LCA's are showing no threads and the same on the top, both MT. As for the shocks, they are the limiting factor on...
  17. OME Lift Installation Help

    Maintenance Tech
Here's a couple of pics of my old top hats. Notice the rubber bushing. There should also be a steel washer between that and the the top of the shock. The second pic shows the same rubber bushing flush with the top. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk

Your missing the rubber bushings between the shock and the inside of the tower. I'll try and post a pic but a search on the forums should help. Others have had this issue. Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
