FJ Cruiser 6MT
Long Travel and 37" Tires
Owned the FJ since 2010. Purchased stock with low miles and started modifying it a couple of months after purchasing it for off road performance. Started with the original Toytec Ultimate 3" and 33" Duratracs. Within a year regeared to 4.88's with ARB locker in the front and went to 35" tires. Replaced all linkage in the rear and added a set of Evan Walker piggyback reservoir shocks. In the front I ran #600 rate coil with Bilsteins shocks. Set of Ricochet skid plates and off wheeling I went. Ran this set up for 8 years before going to the current setup at the beginning of 2018. Everything was worn out after running it for 8 years on and off road. I was originally just going to stick with another 3" lift and replace all the worn out parts but I couldn't live with myself if I just didn't go with my dreams of having long travel and 37" tires. The current build has taken just over a year and after getting the last couple of details worked out it will be about a year and a half with the current build setup.
