History
Purchased mine used from a dealer in Cadillac, Michigan. Knowing I was looking for one, my retired father checked with a doctor acquaintance that he knew had an FJ to see if he might be ready to sell. Turns out, he had just traded it in not two days before.
My father went down to the dealership (not telling them he already knew all about the truck and what they paid for it) and struck a great deal for me. It was on their back lot and not even cleaned up yet. Turns out it really didn't need it. The doctor had multiple trucks on his farm and did not have the FJ out during a single Michigan winter.
In August of 2012 I bought my 2007 Black Cherry with only 21,500 miles on it. It has not disappointed me in the least. As a mid-40s, married man with two kids still waiting to go off to college my funding for modifications is limited. So as you can see I have kept to the simpler, less expensive route but I love doing it just the same.
