Modifications

Drivetrain
Stock
Replaced factory battery after 12 years of use in June 2018. It still worked but I thought I would go ahead and do it. Replaced Battery with ODYSSEY 34R-PC1500T
Replaced Alternator June 2018. Was not fulling charging and making a lot of noise. Replaced with factory Denso 210-0612.

Replaced pulleys and drive belt Fall 2018. The pulleys were making noise. Easy fix.
Exterior
Road Armor front bumper. I coat it with gear oil a few times a year. It helps with keeping rust off of it. Had it for 12 plus years and it's rusting a little on the inside of the bumper.

Body mounts cut for larger wheels

Blacked out front side markers/turn signals

Black gas tank door cover
Audio
Upgraded Speakers (Except sub) with mid-level quality. BIG improvement over stock.
Lighting
Off-road lights on the bumper / PIAA Lights in the front bumper. Wire headlight covers. High-intensity blue lights replaced headlights
Exhaust
Factory TRD System
Suspension
Lifted front about 1 inch with new springs.

Dick Cepek Mud Country 33x12.50R17LT - Replaced after 11 years of use.

Replaced with Dick Cepek Extreme Country January 2020. Same size. Very Happy with them so far. IMO the best mud tires out there.

Replaced gas tank straps. The rear strap failed due to rust. FJ has 39800 miles on it. The failure occurred in April 2022.

90179-08241 4 Nuts / 77644-35030 2 Bolts / 77601-35110 Front Strap / 77602-35050 Rear Strap. Ordered online through Toyota Toyota Parts and Accessories - Official Online Store and picked up parts at the dealer. The 4 nuts holding the gas tank plastic cover were rusted so they may not come off easily. Recommend nut extractors in your toolbox just in case. Repair is easy and should only take an hour or less if you take your time.
