Hey folks,
My girlfriend is looking at an ‘08 FJ 2WD Automatic, but it’s got about 240,000 miles on it. It’s a California car and looks mint. So how long can we expect this to last? It’s gonna see at least 100k miles over the next decade. If it will go 300k+, awesome, but if it’s gonna need engine or drivetrain work then please let me know.
Thanks!

Mine Is a 2008.
As long as you change the engine [email protected], give it a coolant flush every 15k, change the oil in the diff's every 2 years. look after the transmission and breaks, I think 350K is conservative. Maintenance is key. I've done 250,000 in my 2002 Mini, It still goes like a rocket. Did 300k in my 96 4Runner, chopped it in for a Venza. Toyota's Rock!.

Previous maintenance is key. Confirm a history of regular fluid changes, and continue the Toyota recommended maintenance schedule going forward. Make sure the transmission has a flush regardless of what the dealership says, that “World Standard fluid is lifetime” lol
