Hi all,

I havent posted in a while but I just got back from Northern California and couldnt believe how many FJ's were on the road. I am in NYC primarily the 5 boroughs and lower westchester and a current 2007 FJ Cruiser owner. However, I came across the 2008 FJ Cruiser Special Edition, all white when I was away and cannot get over it. I have seen it back in early O7, i believe at the SEMA show and was told it was not going to be available but it is at least for one gentleman that I stopped to ask "how did you get this?" in CA.

Well as I returned home, I have been in on a journey to try to trade my existing FJ for the Special Edition one. I financed my current FJ and need to figure out how I can go about to get the Special Edition. If at all, it is available on the East Coast.

If anyone can assist or give me some advice on this, please do so. It will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again,

Joey

Well so far, New Rochelle Toyota "supposely" allocated two but i need to go there tomorrow to discuss etc. The best was the saleswoman had no idea what model i was talking about and pulled the "it may not be available in this region" routine until i said I am currently an FJ owner and have been researching this.

I am waiting to hear back from the dealer i purchased my FJ from back in nov. 2006.

If there are any sales managers from Toyota that could guide me through this it would be great. I still owe money on my FJ, so i dont want to get beat over the head. My Kelley Blue book value of it is $20,000.

Yes the white TT is very nice but people are having major problems with the black TRD wheels. What I think you should do is sell it right away. I know a guy in the name of Tai Mai Shu want to buy it. good luck with the purchase. :)

I think I already posted on here but there is one in Watertown, CT at Branch Toyota. You're probably going to take a beating on a trade in.

Maybe i could make it a weekend out if it...in Pittsfield. How far from NY and or Boston?

Maybe you can give me some #'s, to see if it is even worth me thinking about because so far I have not had any luck locally in regards to answers or knowing about the TT SE.

Thanks,
Joey

I wanted to pick one up simply for the color. I really wanted white with black trim but that isnt gong to happen. The local dealer has 6 of them on the lot.. all with hail damage. They wanted MSRP for the hail damaged ones.

Guess they dont even spit on it when they stick it to you.

The sad thing is that some dumbass somewhere will eventually pay them what they are asking. Now you know why they are generally referred to as "stealerships".
