It will be my first trip, really hoping to take the FJ on a beginner trail. Any suggestions??
The state of Colorado recently created an offroad trails / GPX app for phones / tablets called COTrex, I used this extensively at FJ Summit this year with all the trail reroutes due to closures. Download it for your phone, set the activity to OHV and download the related tiles to run offline. It's an excellent app.

A couple of good trails in the Granby area would be:

1. Rollins Pass West. This is near Winter Park, and is the western half of the (now closed) Rollins Pass road. Some great bridge structures to see here, and not a difficult trail.

2. Bill Moore Lake. This is south of Winter Park, just across Berthoud Pass north of Empire, CO. Beautiful lake at the top, not too hard to offroad it.

Use COTrex to follow the path for both of those ^^^. Also if you want more trails or just want somebody to offroad with -- please don't go alone! -- feel free to join Colorado FJ Cruisers on Facebook and somebody will surely come along.
